Police Operation - Morisset
Traffic delays are expected at Morisset today due to a police operation following an armed robbery.
 
Police were called to a chemist on Dora Street about 9.20am (Thursday 10 November 2016) following reports the business was being robbed.
 
Officers from the Police Transport Command arrived on the scene a short time later, arresting a man inside the premises.
 
A short time later, an unidentified object was located inside the business and an exclusion zone was put in place as a precaution.
 
Dora Street, Morisset, is currently closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between Station Street and Doyalson Street with diversions in place.
 
Major traffic delays are anticipated and motorists should avoid the area if possible.
 
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information to assist police should contact Crime Stoppers.
